The City of Lacombe, AB, has officially started construction on a new $10.8 million Public Works Facility located in Len Thompson Industrial Park – the largest civic initiative in recent years.
The new facility will include a cold storage building, a salt and sand storage building, a 21,500 sq. ft. maintenance garage and an 11,000 sq. ft. public works administration area. Once completed, it will provide the city with ample capacity to deliver essential community services well into the future.
“After an extensive development phase, Lacombe City Council is confident the project will deliver value for the community. I look forward to the grand opening of our new operations facility, as it supports delivering high-quality public services to our citizens in the coming years,” said Mayor Grant Creasey.
Our local Colliers Project Leaders team is providing project management services for the successful delivery of the operations facility, working in partnership with city staff. The city expects to complete the multi-phase project by Spring 2024.
