Acquisition of The ReAlignment Group Canada augments Colliers Project Leaders’ capabilities with industry-leading IPD and Lean expertise.
Colliers Project Leaders is pleased to announce its acquisition of The ReAlignment Group Canada Ltd. effective June 7, 2021. The acquisition enhances the company’s ability to provide Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) solutions by deploying IPD and Lean experts, facilitators, project integrators and construction specialists. This expanded capability strengthens Colliers Project Leaders’ industry-leading project management and advisory services, proven on more than 15,000 projects.
The ReAlignment Group Canada and President Dick Bayer are internationally recognized leaders in IPD and Lean. Dick has consulted on more than 100 Lean or IPD projects throughout North America and Europe, served as Interim Executive Director of the Lean Construction Institute, and received numerous awards for his work on Lean strategy.
With the acquisition, Colliers Project Leaders will support its current IPD projects, which include the Humber College Cultural Hub Lakeshore Campus Development; the 202 Jarvis Street Development at Ryerson University; and the Sparroway Energy Upgrade project with the Atmospheric Fund and Toronto Community Housing. The company will offer clients across Canada new services and coaching to build IPD project capabilities and to help develop much-needed market capacity.
“IPD offers owners the benefits of a collaborative, non-adversarial approach to project delivery that shares project risk,” said Franklin Holtforster, President and CEO, Colliers Project Leaders. “Successful IPD requires a paradigm shift. It demands knowledgeable teams that understand and are committed to the approach. Acquisition of The ReAlignment Group equips us with the expertise required to make IPD a success for our clients.”
“Colliers Project Leaders has demonstrated a commitment to project success and decades of experience delivering capital projects,” said Dick Bayer, President, The ReAlignment Group Canada. “This transaction will permit us to advance IPD and Lean construction knowledge and capacity. We are excited by the opportunity to grow this more transparent, collaborative – and frankly enjoyable – model for the benefit of our industry.”
