The Muskoka Lumber Community Centre has become a hub for recreation, sports, culture and community connection in Bracebridge, Ontario since its opening in 2024 – and its impact continues to grow.
Our Colliers Project Leaders team worked with the Town of Bracebridge to bring the multi- generational facility to life, providing project management, furniture and equipment (F&E), and move leadership services throughout its development
Today, the 113,640 sq. ft. facility supports high-performance hockey training through Muskoka Hockey, founded by former NHL player Sam Gagner. Its programming brings athletes of all ages and skill levels to the centre for on- and off-ice training. That includes 2026 Stanley Cup champion Taylor Hall, who recently trained alongside fellow NHL players at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre as part of his summer training regimen.
“Without the work Colliers Project Leaders and MJMA Architects has been doing for the last few years on the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, this kind of recognition for Bracebridge would not be possible,” said Rick Cox, Director of Recreation for the Town of Bracebridge.
From everyday community programming to professional hockey training, the evolving use of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre demonstrates opportunities that thoughtfully planned community infrastructure can create. We’re proud to have supported the Town of Bracebridge in delivering this state-of-the-art facility and creating a lasting asset for the community.
