St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is undergoing a multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation of its Emergency Department (ED) to meet the healthcare demands of the growing population. The original ED was built in 1955 and has only had minor renovations since. The project includes the construction of 86,200 sq. ft. of new space and the renovation of 18,600 sq. ft. of existing facilities. Once complete, the expansion will triple the ED’s size, enhancing patient care and increasing capacity for emergency services and related healthcare programs.

Our team is providing the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority with comprehensive support through our Operational Readiness & Move Management (ORMM) services. We are collaborating closely with all parties to coordinate readiness activities and logistical requirements, ensuring hospital operations continue uninterrupted and the ED team is fully prepared to deliver high-quality care to patients. This planning and preparation are critical to the project’s success and will help ensure a seamless transition when the new ED opens.
